Maybe because its not true...? Maybe its made up? Umm maybe its not supposed to be taken literally? Just a few suggestions man.
Creationism is not science, it is not a theory, it is not even a hypothesis! They fairy tale of magic man done it does not belong in a science class room, it belongs in a comparative religions class. If you knew ANYTHING about science you would know that the creation myth is not in any way shape or form scientific.
A hypothesis is an EDUCATED guess, based on observation. Usually, a hypothesis can be supported or refuted through experimentation or more observation. A hypothesis can be disproven, but not proven to be true. Since there is no evidence for the creation myth, since it cannot be tested, and since it cannot be refuted it is not a hypothesis, and it never will be because creationism is trying to prove something.
A scientific theory summarizes a hypothesis or group of hypotheses that have been supported with repeated testing. A theory is valid as long as there is no evidence to dispute it. Therefore, theories can be disproven. Basically, if evidence accumulates to support a hypothesis, then the hypothesis can become accepted as a good explanation of a phenomenon. One definition of a theory is to say it's an accepted hypothesis. Theories explain FACTS, things that are REAL. Change over time is an undisputed, big, bold FACT. Your creationism myth is not a theory because it is not supported by ANY evidence.
There is no bias in schools! Most people in this country are THEISTS, most people in this country believe in god, if anything there is a bias towards THEISM. Read the constitution, this is a country founded on SECULAR principles and the founding fathers came to this country escaping religious persecution, a secular government IS WHAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS WOULD HAVE WANTED.
A secular government, the one we have, allows ALL religious beliefs, ceremonies, doctrines and all that worshitting crap to be left to the people. You have the right to teach your children whatever silly story you believe to be true, you have the right to believe whatever you want, and you have the right to your religious ceremonies as long as you dont break other laws while you are at it.
HOWEVER, NOBODY dont have constitutional right to infiltrate your religious beliefs in the public domain, you dont have the right to establish your beliefs and teach them with tax pawer money, you dont have the right to use public property and you dont have the right to tell others what to believe. And that is what you do when you try to teach creationism in schools, creationism is and has been proven to be false over and over again. There are stacks of evidence refuting the idea and the proponents of creationism (hovind, Stein, Cameron, Comfort, etc) are known for their dishonest techniques and their ignorance when it comes to science.
Your creationism myth will be regarded as a possibility the day that you present eveidence that it might be true, your myth will be included in the science text books the day that it becomes a supported hypothesis, not before. Your "deeply held religious beliefs" have no reason to be in a science class. You can pray all you want, you can take your bible to class and you can even believe that god made you fail/pass the test, but you cant use MY money, and the buildings that were built with MY money to teach your beliefs.
Start providing evidence for you claims dude... whatever you say has no bearing in the real world unless you provide evidence to the contrary. Saying magic man done it DOES NOT explain anything.
